The Government wants to unlock the potential of public sector managers in a way that has never been done before. Its proposals for reform of the sector and the “right to provide” mean that every public service provider has the chance to lead their employees in a spin out and become an employee owned enterprise.
A4e is actively supporting public sector organisations which are contemplating mutualisation with a range of services designed to help them become rapidly established, get access to the capital they need, develop a robust business plan for the new enterprise and develop the commercial capacity and capability that they will need to flourish
Listed as one of the mentors to the second wave of mutual pathfinders, our services are wide-ranging and relevant to the new agenda. Most importantly, A4e can offer much more than advice, dedicating direct and long-term support to providers including, in appropriate circumstances, the option to partner to form joint ventures. This enables providers to have direct access to experienced help in such areas as business planning, finance and new business development.
In addition we have joined forces with the Baxi Partnership to provide a full range of support services including advice on employee ownership models and leadership development and access to funding.
