The A4e Group employs more than 3,000 people and has grown from a niche provider of welfare to work services to being a global leader in public service reform. We design, develop and deliver front-line public services that benefit individuals, organisations and communities, focusing on the following key challenges:

  • economic development - enterprise and job creation solutions, linked to regeneration, to promote sustainable employment
  • reducing reoffending - by embedding a work ethos and tackling multiple barriers to reintegration into society
  • financial inclusion - providing access to legal services, financial support and advice, improving financial capability
  • skills, education and training - ensuring that people have access to the employment and learning opportunities to enable their development
  • healthcare - improving access to community health and social care services and empowering disabled people through employment and advisory services.

Being part of the A4e Group gives A4e Insight access to a wealth of expertise in these areas – expertise not only in delivering services successfully but in designing and implementing new approaches to services that are complex and hard to deliver. In addition we are able to draw on the advice and counsel of a senior management team who have regular contact with key decision makers across central government, the wider public sector and all three main political parties.

Access to the wider A4e family gives A4e Insight particular expertise in helping public sector providers become social enterprises. Many of our senior managers have successfully made the transition from the public sector to commercially minded managers in a company with a clear social purpose.  Some have been social entrepreneurs in the past and A4e's founders and leaders have proved their ability as entrepreneurs (and to make entrepreneurs out of others) over many years.
